Jurisdiction-level local coverage
Searches happen where the arrest happened, which is frequently not where the person lives. Coverage is organised by county and court rather than by where your office happens to be.
Home/Who We Serve/DUI & Traffic
Statutory licence-hearing deadlines create a genuine countdown, which compresses the decision to days. Whoever is visible and answers first usually wins, and proximity to the arresting jurisdiction matters more than brand.
DUI is unusual in legal marketing because the urgency is not manufactured. In most states an administrative licence suspension begins automatically within a short window of arrest unless a hearing is requested, and that deadline is measured in days. It is real, it is external, and the prospective client discovers it almost immediately.
You are not persuading anybody to act quickly. The statute already has.
What that produces is a compressed, high-intent search that happens within hours of arrest and converts within days. There is no consideration phase and very little brand loyalty. Visibility at the moment of searching, and answering the phone when it rings, do almost all the work — which is why proximity to the arresting jurisdiction outperforms reputation built anywhere else.
Traffic matters sit alongside this with much lower values and higher volume: a practice run on efficiency, often the entry point to a client relationship rather than the point of it.
Visibility in the right county, and a phone that gets answered.
Searches happen where the arrest happened, which is frequently not where the person lives. Coverage is organised by county and court rather than by where your office happens to be.
A disproportionate share of DUI arrests occur on Friday and Saturday nights. A firm that answers only on weekday mornings is absent for most of the enquiries.
The licence hearing window, what happens if it is missed, what a first offence carries. The searches are specific and the answers are what earn the call.
First offence, repeat, refusal, commercial licence and injury-related matters carry different values. Segmenting by offence type and jurisdiction keeps bids proportionate.
The same five disciplines, weighted for this practice area.
Which counties and courts you actually practise in, and what each is worth. The unit of competition here is the jurisdiction, not the metro.
Organised around the licence hearing window and its consequences, because that is what is being searched in the hours after an arrest.
Routing and cover across the nights and weekends when the arrests happen. The highest-return operational change available in this practice area.
Bids proportionate to case value by offence type, so a commercial licence matter is not sharing a budget with a parking dispute.
Traffic work carries low values and only functions at volume. We model whether it clears its own cost before recommending spend against it.
The distribution of DUI arrests is not uniform across the week, and it is not close. They concentrate heavily on Friday and Saturday nights, which means enquiries concentrate on Saturday and Sunday mornings — precisely when most firms are unreachable.
A firm answering only during weekday business hours is therefore absent for a large share of its own market, and the deadline pressure means those callers will not wait until Monday. They will work down the results until someone picks up. Every hour of delay in this practice area is a materially lower chance of the case, in a way that simply is not true elsewhere.
In most practice areas, after-hours cover is an improvement. In DUI it is the difference between competing and not.
Which is why we treat intake availability as part of the campaign rather than as the firm’s separate concern. There is no point improving visibility on a Saturday morning if the phone rings out.
One number leads. The rest explains it.
Agencies that sign every firm in a metro end up running the same keywords for competing clients. It inflates both firms’ costs and it is quietly indefensible — you are paying an agency to bid against another of its own clients.
If your city is taken, we will say so on the first call rather than sell you a diluted version of the same service.
So we take one firm per practice area per market. Availability is genuinely limited, and that is a constraint on our growth as much as a promise to you.
Because a statutory deadline is running. In most states an administrative licence suspension takes effect automatically within days of arrest unless a hearing is requested, and the client usually finds this out immediately. That converts an ordinary legal decision into a countdown, and firms that respond within the hour sign a disproportionate share of the cases.
For organic and paid search, yes, if you genuinely practise there — searches follow where the arrest happened, which is often not where the person lives. For the map pack, no: that requires a real staffed location. We are explicit about which visibility is achievable in each county rather than promising map coverage that would need an office you do not have.
Only at volume and only if the economics clear, which they often do not once acquisition is counted honestly. Where it works is as an entry point — a client handled well on a minor matter who returns with something larger, or refers someone who does. We model it against its own cost rather than assuming it subsidises itself.
By being specific and local where they are broad. Large operators cover whole states with generic pages; a firm that genuinely knows one county's courts and prosecutors can produce content no volume operator will match, and proximity favours you in the map pack. Trying to outspend them on head terms is the version that does not work.
You need to answer it on Saturday and Sunday mornings, which is when the calls from Friday and Saturday night arrests actually arrive. Overnight matters less than the weekend does. A firm reachable only in weekday business hours is unavailable for a large share of its own market, and those callers will not wait.
One firm per practice area per market. In DUI we define the market by the counties you practise in rather than by metro, since jurisdiction is the real unit of competition — and we will tell you on the first call which of yours are open.
A free growth plan: we map your visibility county by county, test how your intake handles a Saturday morning call, and show you what the weekend is currently costing you.
Each has different economics, and a different plan.
Two different conversations. Pick the one that fits and we'll take you straight to the calendar.
